Structural Project Engineer – Atlanta, Georgia
Position Objective:

Our timber design projects are growing in diversity and numbers and WEC is seeking to add Structural Project Engineers to efficiently assist in this growth. Candidates must prove that they have excellent written and communication skills as the position entails daily client interaction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm with the client on innovative design strategies that will ensure construction savings
  • Create all building plans, sections and details on AutoCAD, utilizing a pre-set system of layers and x-refs.
  • Design and analysis of timber, steel and masonry projects
  • Clear communication to other team members
  • Clear communication to Contractors and Owner’s field representatives
  • Responsible for tracking and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Education & Experience:

  • Civil Engineering Degree
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Structural Engineering License preferred but not required
  • Recent hands-on AutoCAD experience
  • Timber, Steel and Masonry design experience
  • Lateral load analysis experience
  • RISA and Enercalc experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

CADD Designer – Atlanta, Georgia
Position Objective:

WEC is seeking a part-time CADD designer to join our growing firm. Working knowledge of AutoCad 2009 or higher is required. Experience with REVIT advantageous but not required.

Job Description:

  • Develop working drawings from sketches
  • Determine scale, layout and requirements for specific detail drawings
  • Responsible for layout and coordination of drawings with other disciplines
  • Work with engineers to verify completeness of design
  • Comply with assigned project budget and time requirements
  • Comply with company policies and procedures to ensure quality control
